Curtis Morton:
The Youth and Sports Department is all set and rearing to go, in terms of hosting its annual summer camps.
According to Sports Officer, Kelvin Bramble, a variety of sporting disciplines will be taught and instead of paying, as they did last year, $25. 00 per sport, parents can now register their children at $25.00 for the week and so the children will be able to access more than one sport.
The sporting disciplines on offer this year are: Cricket; Football; Volley ball; Table Tennis; Netball and Basketball. These will be taken care of by the Youth and Sports department.
There will also be Lawn Tennis and Golf, which will be taken care of, by the Four Seasons Resort.
Two other disciplines are yet to be finalized. They are Swimming and Baseball.
The camps cater for children aged 6 to 16 years.
Registration forms are currently available at all of the Primary and Secondary Schools and completed forms must be returned to the Youth and Sports Department, at the Reliable Motors Miniplex.
The camps will run from July 16th to 21st and the morning sessions will take place between 9 am and 11 am and the afternoon sessions will take place between 1 pm and 4 pm.
