Cricket West Indies (CWI) has continued it development programme by hosting a specialist wicket-keeper’s camp at the Coolidge Cricket Ground (CCG). Several of the best young keepers in the region have been working with Nick Wilton, one of the game’s leading Wicket-keeping coaches.
Among the players at the camp are Shunelle Sawh, the West Indies Women’s U19s player as well as Senior Women’s players Shemaine Campbelle and Rashada Wiliams. Joshua Morris and Divonie Joseph, who are part of Men’s Rising Stars U19 programme were also involved.
Along with developing the wicket-keepers within the West Indies High-Performance Pathway, Wilton has also spent time with aspiring young keepers in Antigua, Trinidad and Barbados as well as sharing his knowledge and expertise with local coaches through specialist workshops in each of the three countries.
