Hinds bags 5-36 as T&T enforces follow-on against Jamaica

Jamaica Scorpions failed to reach the Trinidad and Tobago’s Red Force first innings total of 302 all out, after a five-wicket haul from seam bowler Terrence Hinds (9.4-2-36-5) bundled out the Scorpions for 125 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
The Red Force then enforced the follow-on and the Scorpions closed Day 2 on 199-5, a lead of 22. Derval Green once again top-scored for the Scorpions in the first innings with 39. In the second innings, Leroy Lugg smashed nine fours and three sixes on his way to 66 from 57 balls, followed by skipper Jermaine Blackwood who made 68. Not out at the end of the day are allrounder Abhijai Mansingh on 10 and keeper Aldaine Thomas on seven. Anderson Phillip closed the day with figures of 9-2-21-2 followed by Bryan Charles with 18-4-68-2.
Rain plays spoilsport over in Guyana to halt play

The Leeward Islands Hurricanes built a lead of 125 runs over the Guyana Harpy Eagles when they ended their first innings at 247 all out chasing Guyana’s first innings total of 122 all out at the National Stadium in Guyana.
Hurricanes skipper Jahmar Hamilton led with the bat with a patient 58 off 131 balls and was ably supported by Kofi James who again equipped himself well with 42 off 133 balls. Nial Smith was the pick of the Harpy Eagles bowlers with figures of 12.1-1-33-4 followed by Veerasammy Permaul with 31-9-51-3.
In their second innings, the Harpy Eagles were on 48-1 when the rains came, and the match had to be called early. Not out are left-handed opener Tagenarine Chanderpaul on 20 and free-flowing right-hander Kevlon Anderson on 19.
