**Basseterre, St. Kitts** – The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, through its Traffic Department, is committed to enforcing road safety regulations.
On February 14, 2025, between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM, officers conducted several vehicular checkpoints (VCP) at Johnson Long Path and the Island Main Road in Conaree. This operation, led by Superintendent Bradshaw, Inspector Gordon, and Sergeant Henry, resulted in the issuance of 58 traffic tickets for various offenses.
The infractions recorded during the operation included:
– 38 cases of exceeding the speed limit
– 3 cases of failing to comply with traffic signs
– 4 cases of driving without a seatbelt
– 1 case of driving with a child without a child seat
– 2 cases of identification marks not conforming to regulations
– 2 cases of driving without an identification mark at the front
– 5 cases of illegal dark tinting on windscreens and windows
– 2 cases of driving unlicensed vehicles
– 1 case of using a defective tire showing tread
