Motorists are urged to adhere to traffic regulations to avoid penalties and to promote responsible driving.*Basseterre, St. Kitts** – On February 13, 2025, several individuals appeared before the Basseterre Magistrate Court, presided over by Her Honor Sherry-Ann Liburd-Charles, and were convicted of various traffic violations. The details of the convictions and penalties are as follows:

1. **Kiam Farrell of West Farm**
– **Offense:** Driving without due care and attention (committed on May 17, 2024)
– **Penalty:** Convicted and fined $2,000.00, payable by February 28, 2025, or 30 days imprisonment.

2. **Vaughn Huggins of La Guerite**
– **Offense:** Driving without due care and attention (committed on February 19, 2023)
– **Penalty:** Convicted and fined $1,500.00, payable within two months or 14 days imprisonment.

3. **Kuame Mayers of Shadwell**
– **Offenses:**
– Driving without a valid and unexpired driver’s license (committed on February 18, 2022)
– Driving without insurance
– **Penalties:**
– $1,000.00 fine, payable within one month or 14 days imprisonment (license offense)
– $1,000.00 fine, payable within two months or 14 days imprisonment (insurance offense)

4. **Davena Powell of Newtown Ground**
– **Offense:** Driving without due care and attention (committed on October 26, 2024)
– **Penalty:** Convicted and fined $2,000.00, payable within two months or 14 days imprisonment.

5. **Maria Federick of Shaw Avenue**
– **Offense:** Driving without due care and attention (committed on September 14, 2024)
– **Penalty:** Convicted and fined $2,000.00, payable within three months or 14 days imprisonment.

Additionally, fifteen (15) ticket cases were withdrawn after proof of payment, and ten (10) ticket cases were adjourned to April 3, 2025.
