On February 10 and 11, 2025, several traffic-related cases were addressed at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, overseen by Her Honor Yasmine Clarke.
**February 10, 2025**
1. Craig Murray from Challengers was convicted and fined $150.00, payable within 24 hours, or he faces seven days of imprisonment for failing to comply with a traffic sign on January 23, 2024.
2. Jorge Javier Castilla Acosta from Golf View, Frigate Bay, was convicted of multiple traffic violations committed on June 11, 2024:
– **Driving without a valid and unexpired license**: Fined $800.00, payable within one month, or face imprisonment.
– **Driving without insurance**: Fined $800.00, payable within two months, or face one month of imprisonment.
– **Driving without a seatbelt**: Convicted and cautioned.
Additionally, the court addressed 55 ticket matters:
– 23 cases were withdrawn after proof of payment of the fines.
– 32 cases were adjourned to March 31, 2025.
**February 11, 2025**
1. Jack Widdowson from North Frigate Bay was convicted of multiple offenses committed on July 8, 2022:
