Traffic Court Convictions

On July 26, 2024, several individuals were convicted and fined for various traffic violations at the Basseterre Magistrate’s Court. The court was presided over by His Honor Reynold Benjamin. The convictions and fines were as follows:

1. Steve Isaac of Conaree
– Convicted and fined $500, to be paid in 1 month, or 14 days imprisonment for driving without due care and attention on March 9, 2023.

2. Theolinda Isaac of Newtown
– Convicted and fined $500, to be paid in 1 month, or 7 days imprisonment for driving without a valid driver’s license.
– Convicted and fined $1,500, to be paid in 14 days, or 3 months imprisonment for driving with a dark tinted windscreen.
– Convicted and fined $150, to be paid in 14 days, or 7 days imprisonment for failing to produce a license immediately on October 6, 2023.

Furthermore, eighteen (18) cases were adjourned to August 9, 2024, and thirteen (13) cases were withdrawn because the tickets were paid. These legal actions reflect our ongoing commitment to ensuring road safety and upholding road traffic laws.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force continues to prioritise the enforcement of traffic regulations to protect all road users. We commend the diligence of our officers and the cooperation of the public in addressing these matters.
