Three persons currently in police custody helping with the investigation of attempted robbery

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Reports reaching this media house indicate that three persons are currently in police custody helping with the investigations of an attempted robbery that occurred on Wednesday, May 1, 2013.

Information indicates that sometime after 9:00 p.m. two persons attempted to rob guests and the manager of Yachtsman Grill in the parking lot of the establishment, located at Nelson’s Spring, Nevis.

Gunshots rang out. This was as a result of the manager of the restaurant firing shots at the assailants. Further information reveals that the manager struck one of the assailants as they tried to escape from the scene.

Police Officers were called to the scene and acting on information received, one residence in Cotton Ground was searched the following morning. During that search officers found one male in his bedroom with a gunshot wound to his foot.

This media house understands that the male is currently a patient at the Alexandra Hospital and is in the custody of police. Two other persons are said to be at the Charlestown Police Station assisting with the investigations.
