(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Members of the Nevis Renal Society are inviting everyone to participate in their annual fundraiser walk-a-thon slated to be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014. The walk will commence at the Eva Wilkin Gallery Entrance, Gingerland from 6:00 a.m. and conclude at the Artisan Village along Samuel Hunkins Drive, Charlestown.
Members of the group are working effortlessly and tirelessly to raising funds to assist persons on the island of Nevis with kidney problems, and to get the dialysis unit at the Alexandra Hospital on Nevis operational.
The unit was purchased by the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) and arrived in April, 2013. One year after, the machine is still not in operation; but under the group’s motto, ‘Love your Kidneys. Love your Life’, the Nevis Renal Society is determined to raise enough funds to cover the cost of the usage and operations of the machine.
The members of the Nevis Renal Society are asking the general public to join them on this walk-a-thon as they continue to contribute to kidney care on Nevis.
The registration fee which includes a t-shirt and breakfast is $40.00 E.C. for adults and $25.00 E.C. for children. There will also be lots of prizes to be won.
