Sunday, March 27th will see the resumption of the Nevis to St. Kitts cross channel swim, after a two-year break, due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic.
The 2.5 miles swim will commence at Oualie Beach in Nevis and conclude at Cockle Shell Beach in St. Kitts.
The chief coordinator of the event, is the President of St. Kitts and Nevis Swimming Federation, Mr. Winston Crooke.
The event is set to commence at about 8 am.
Registration is open until Friday 25th March.
Already registered for the event, are seven youngsters from Nevis, who range from 10 years old, to early teens.
They are being coached by James Weekes, who after putting them through their drills on Saturday 19th March, stated that he is confident that all of them will do well in the upcoming event.
The youngsters themselves are highly motivated and confident and are actually relishing the challenge.
Danielle Connor, who has two daughters involved –one ten and the other eleven, thanked Weekes for his coaching efforts and also thanked Winston Crooke for once again organizing the event.
She too is confident that the children will do well on the big day and notes that she will be alongside, as a cheerleader.
