Fifteen local swimming instructors on Nevis, received their certificates, after another full week of training, under the direct supervision of international swimming instructor, Ms. Anne Mclindon.
The final session was held at the beach located at Yachtsman’s, on Friday 23rd July.
The instructors were led through their final paces and then the session concluded with an impressive ceremony.
The ceremony was ably chaired by Mr. Brian Dowe, Deputy Director of Sports and other speakers at the event included Mr. Winston Crooke-President of the St. Kitts-Nevis Swimming Federation; Ms. Anne Mclindon; Ms. Terri Andrews and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports, Mr. Keith Glasgow.
The participants then received their certificates.
According to Ms. Mclindon, there is more in the offing for the swim instructors, in terms of their training and possibilities, as they can progress to other levels and eventually move from volunteers to paid instructors.
