Over thirty youthful participants are attending the now annual swimming camp which is being coordinated by the Youth Department, in collaboration with the Nevis Red Cross Society.
On Monday 11th July, the students assembled at the Red Cross headquarters, where they were taught the theoretical aspects of the art of swimming.
Leading the session, was Mr. Omari Daniel who taught the would be swimmers, many important safety rules and impressed upon them, the need to swim with a life guard present and not to venture into deep waters that they could not deal with.
The students asked many questions and seemed ready for their first trip to the beach, which was conducted on Thursday, when they journeyed to Oualie Beach.
