Swim To Win Easter Program Concludes

Another exciting week of teaching the children on Nevis to swim, concluded at the Yachtsman’s beach on Friday 22nd April.

The program was coordinated by the SWIM TO WIN group, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports.

For the entire week, over 66 children from the various Primary schools across the island, were taught firsthand, how to swim, under the supervision of professional swim coach, Ms. Anne Mc Clindon and a number of locally trained swim coaches.

One of the chief coordinators of the program, Ms. Terri Andrews, ably chaired the closing ceremony, which was split into two parts.

Segment one was done in the morning and segment two was conducted that same afternoon.

At the first ceremony, Ms. Mc Clindon indicated that she was encouraged by the participation level and the enthusiasm exhibited by the children.

Senior Sports officer, Mr. Carl Tuckett, assisted with the presentation of medals to the participants
