The annual Swim to Win Easter camp is currently taking place at Yachtsman’s Beach. The event started on Tuesday, April 9th and will end on Friday, April 12th. This is the 4th annual swim camp, and it has 46 registered participants ranging in age from 5 to 13 years old. Terri Andrews, the lead coordinator of the event, expressed her gratitude to the main sponsor, The Four Seasons Foundation, and the Nevis Island Administration for their continued support. She also praised her ever-faithful volunteers and qualified coaches for their role in making the camp a success. The children are learning the basics of water safety and swimming techniques.
On Saturday, April 20th, the organization will host a free adult community swim from 10 am to 1 pm at Yachtsman Beach. Interested adults are urged to register. In July, there will be another lifeguard training course, and at the end of July, the annual Christena Memorial camp will take place.
