The crowd was enormous, and the atmosphere was tense as the top four primary schools battled it out in the crucial semi-finals of the 2024 National Bank-sponsored Primary Schools Football League. The action took place at the ET Willet Park on the evening of Tuesday, October 29th.

In the first match, St. Thomas’ Primary faced off against the reigning champions, Ivor Walters Primary. Both teams displayed exceptional ball skills, with St. Thomas opening the scoring with a fantastic header into the back of the net. The Ivor Walters fans erupted in cheers shortly after as their team responded with a goal.

At the end of regulation time, the score was tied at two goals each, leading to a deciding penalty shootout. Several missed opportunities from both sides made the tension even greater, but St. Thomas managed to convert more penalties and secured their place in the finals.

The second match featured Joycelyn Liburd Primary and Charlestown Primary. It started slowly, but momentum picked up when Charlestown scored with an impressive run down the left flank. Joycelyn Liburd Primary equalised soon after, and a defensive error by Charlestown resulted in a second goal for Joycelyn Liburd.
