[St. Kitts and Nevis – St. Kitts and Nevis Robotics Association (SKNRA) is delighted to announce its participation in the Anguilla Alumni Association STEAM Summer programme. Selected members of SKNRA will be extending their expertise to provide robotics and coding training in Java during this immersive educational initiative, scheduled to take place from August 14 to 18, 2023, in Anguilla.
The Anguilla Alumni Association has extended a gracious invitation to SKNRA, seeking to establish a collaborative relationship aimed at promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education across the region. This summer workshop training is a significant step towards fostering connections with other OECS countries, as students from all over Anguilla will be participating to enhance their skills in robotics, coding, and automation technologies.
During the training sessions, students will have the unique opportunity to engage with experienced members of SKNRA who are well-versed in robotics and coding in Java. The goal is to inspire young minds, cultivate interest in technology, and empower the next generation with the skills necessary for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
One of the highlights of this partnership initiative will be the signing of a formal partnership agreement between SKNRA and the Anguilla Alumni Association. The agreement will be signed by Dr. Ricardo Neil, Chairman of SKNRA, who is a prominent figure in the robotics and coding community. This act marks the commitment of both organizations to collaborate on future endeavors that promote education, innovation, and regional cooperation.
“We are thrilled to take part in the Anguilla Alumni Association’s STEAM Summer programme,” said Dr. Ricardo Neil.
“This partnership is a stepping stone towards establishing meaningful relationships with our fellow OECS countries, and we are excited to contribute to the development of STEAM education in Anguilla.”
The SKNRA team looks forward to a productive and enriching week of training, knowledge sharing, and relationship building. This collaboration underscores the commitment of both organizations to shaping the future of education and technology in the OECS region.
