Today marked the opening of the 17th year of the Sam Nariani Cricket School of Excellence Summer Camp in Collaboration with the Ministry of Sports
Head Coach Mr Keith Traggers Esdaille give opening remarks on behalf of the Ministry of Sports to thirty participants from around the country.
He emphasized to the children and other coaches the importance of having the support of Sun Island Clothes for the past 16 years and how many have passed trough the camp and are now in the Under 15/17 and U-19 teams.
It was unfortunate to have cut the camp short to accommodate the WICB under 19 which will start on July 19,2013.
Managing Director of Sun Island Clothes Mahesh Nariani in his remarks expressed his regrets for the shortened camp but reaffirmed support for the camp in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports.
In his brief remarks he encouraged the kids to use the time wisely and it is all up to them. He asked them to spend their spare time to learn from the WICB under 19 tournament which will staged here in St Kitts
Finally, he challenged the Coaches and kids to practice and play together as a unit as the coaches select an U- 13 team later this year to go to Barbados.
