Rohan Isles Is NRP’s New Caretaker for St. Thomas’ Parish

CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS (Nevis Reformation Party) — Mr. Rohan Micheal Isles, a former Leeward Islands Debater and 15-year educator, is officially the Nevis Reformation Party’s (NRP) caretaker for Nevis 5 (St. Thomas’ Parish).

Mr. Isles was voted in by the NRP’s National Executive Committee on Tuesday, September 05, 2023.

Mr. Isles reacted to the NRP’s decision to accept the St. Thomas Constituency Group’s recommendation that he be their representative.

“Just as excited and elated as I was in 2021 when I was granted the opportunity to serve in Gingerland but to come home to St. Thomas’ Parish is a very special and humbling feeling. I look forward to the opportunity to serve the people of St. Thomas’ Parish. There is so much that is there to be done to uplift our people and put them on a path to prosperity,” the Barnes Ghaut native said.

He added: “I continue the campaign of listening. I have been off the radar for a while. There was a process I had to respect and the process has been completed and I’m just looking forward to getting out there and meeting our people to hear from them to ensure that we are honestly representing their views and ideas.”

The NRP’s St. Thomas Constituency Group issued a call in July for interested individuals to apply for the role of caretaker, who will then run for the Nevis Island Assembly Elections, which are constitutionally due in 2027.

Hon. Dr. Janice Daniel-Hodge, Member of Parliament for Nevis 4 (St. James’ Parish) represents the NRP in the Nevis Island Assembly. The NRP’s caretaker for Nevis 1 (St. Paul’s Parish) is Ms. Jaedee Caines, while Dr. Patricia Bartlette is the NRP’s caretaker for Nevis 2 (St. John’s Parish). The caretaker for Nevis 3 (St. George’s Parish) will be announced shortly by the NRP.
