REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES
Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 13, 2016, (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrest, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period September 11-12.
ARREST AND BAIL:
Arrested: Tyler Neher of #34 Buchanan Road Conaree, was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Driving Without Insurance. He was granted bail in the sum of $2,000 for his appearance at Basseterre Magistrate Court on Thursday 15th September 2016.
COURT CONVICTION:-
None to Report.
OTHER ACTIVITY:
House Breaking and Larceny: Police is investigating three reports of House Breaking and Larceny that occurred on September 12. One in Bird Rock, one in Palmetto Point and the other in Newtown. All scenes were processed by the Crime Scene Unit and the investigations are ongoing.
Burglary: Police is investigating a report of Burglary at Branch Street, Bakers Corner. The scene was processed the Crime Scene Unit. The investigation continues.
Traffic Accidents: There was one traffic accident on the Federation’s roadways during the period covered by this report.
Citizen Safety: Police continue to conduct vehicle checkpoints, stop and searches, and searches of abandoned lots and properties. These are being done in efforts to rid our communities of illegal firearms, ammunition, drugs and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes. A number of search warrants were executed on properties on Sandown Road, Phillips’ Village and Tabernacle.
Community Engagement: Officers from our various stations are increasing neighbourhood foot patrols, and mobile patrols. Visits to schools and village shops have continued in the Nevis Division. All of this is being done to build stronger relationships with the communities we serve.
