REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES
Basseterre, St. Kitts, November, 30 2016, (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period 28th– 29th November.
ARREST AND BAIL:
Arrested: Althus Whyte of George Street, Newtown was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Robbery, committed between 1st and 30th July 2016, at College Street Ghaut
Arrested/Bailed: Recian Eddie of Lower Market Street was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences Battery and Wounding. He was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 for her appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 5th December, 2016.
Arrested/Bailed: Nakiesha Harrigan of Conarre Village was arrested formally charged and cautioned for the offences Battery and Wounding. She was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 for her appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 5th December, 2016 .
COURT CONVICTIONS:
In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court presided over by His Honour Mr. Benjamin the following sentences were handed down:
(1). Kendal Hamilton of Lover’s Lane Cayon who was charged for the offence of Battery committed on August 05, 2016 was convicted and cautioned.
(2). Kishmo Carey of Rawlins Housing Project who was charged with Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis With Intent To Supply on September 24, 2016 was convicted and fined the sum of $1,500.00 to be paid one (1) month or in default serve 6 months imprisonment on both charges.
In matters at the Charlestown Magistrate Court presided over by Her Honour Miss Yasmine Clarkethe following convictions were recorded:
(1) Alston Phillip of Hamilton was convicted and fined $500.00 E.C.C to be paid one (1) month and if in default serve one (1) month imprisonment for the offence Battery,.
(2) Allan Broadbelt of Bath Village was convicted on two (2) counts of Larceny and was sentenced to three (3) years imprisonment on both counts. His sentences will run concurrently.
(3) Vincent Williams of Cotton Ground was convicted and cautioned for the offence of being Armed with an offensive weapon.
(4) Asaud Georges of Camps Village was convicted and fined $500.00 E.C.C to be paid in one (1) month default or if in default serve (1) month imprisonment for Driving without due care and Attention.
OTHER ACTIVITY:
Vehicle Recovered: PA631, Blue Honda CRV that was reported missing some time in the past was found after a search by officers of the SSU/ Drug Squad, HM Customs K9 Unit and SKNDF in the Whyte’s and Tank area of Cayon.
Traffic Accident: There were nine (9) accidents on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts during the period of this report
Citizen Safety: Police continue to conduct stop and searches, vehicular check points, searches of ferry terminals and marinas and mobile patrols around the Federation. These are being done in efforts to remove illegal firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs and instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities.
