REPORT OF ARREST, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES
Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 16, 2016, (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrest, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period August 12-14.
ARREST AND BAIL:
Arrested: Tonya Percival of John Street New Town was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
Arrested: Two (2) juveniles both of Cunningham Village were arrested, charged and cautioned for the following offences, 1. Possession of Cannabis 2. Possession with intent to supply and 3. Cultivation.
Arrested: Ishan Carrick Gumbs of Church Ghaut, St Paul was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the following offences (1) Possession of Cannabis, (2) Possession with intent to supply.
Arrested: Adrian Rawlins of Parson Ground was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Larceny offence was committed on July 27th, 2016.
Arrested/Bailed: Lovell Charles of Upper Monkey Hill, St. Peters was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply. Offences committed on the August 13th, 2016. Bailed: Lovell Charles was granted bail in the sum of $5,000.00 for his appearance at the District ‘A’ Magistrate Court on the October 3rd, 2016 at 9o’clock in the forenoon.
Arrested/Bailed: Dwayne Freeman of Rawlins Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Possession of Cannabis which was committed on the August 12th, 2016. Bailed: Dwayne Freeman was granted bail in the sum of $3000.00 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on the August 16th, 2016 at 9 in the forenoon.
Bailed: Both Juveniles of Cunningham Village were granted bail in the sum of $3,000.00 for their appearance at the District ‘A’ Magistrate Court at a later date.
Bailed: Ishan Carrick Gumbs of Rawlins Avenue, St. Pauls who was charged for the offences of Possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply was bailed in the sum of $5,000.00 for his appearance at the District ‘B’ Magistrate Court on August 19th, 2016 at 9:00 in the forenoon.
Bailed: Tonya Percival of George Street, Newtown who was charged and arrested for Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply, committed on the August 13th, 2016 was granted bailed in the sum of $5,000.00 for her appearance at the District ‘A’ Magistrate Court on the October 3rd, 2016 at about 9o’clock in the forenoon.
COURT CONVICTIONS:
In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court presided over by Her Honour Ms. Donna Harris the following convictions were handed down on both Desiree Matthew of Taylors Village and Terrisita Henry of Douglas Street Newtown who were charged with the offences of being armed with an offensive weapon and for disorderly conduct by fighting respectively.
– Desiree Matthew pleaded guilty and was fined $800.00 to be paid by December 15 for the offence being armed with an offensive weapon or if default serve 14 days in prison and $1000.00 to be by October 29 or serve 14 days in prison for the offence of disorderly conduct.
– Miss Henry was fined a sum of $1000.00 to be paid by October 29 or if in default serve 14 days in prison.
OTHER ACTIVITY:
House Breaking and Larceny: Police is investigating a breaking and larceny on Upper Shaw Ave. Investigations reveal that the V/C secured the house around 11.14am on the August 11,, and upon return on August 12 discovered the house broken into, the kitchen, bedrooms and living room area ransacked. The scene was processed by Crime Scene Unit. Further inquiries to be conducted.
Building With Intent: Police is investigating a breaking and larceny at about 18:13 pm on August 13th; A Supervisor for Security and Maintenance at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church reported a breaking at the School (ICCS). Investigation revealed that Security secured the building on August 12th at about 17:00hrs and upon his return on August 13th at about 17:00 hrs he discovered that someone had broken into four class rooms and having entered, ransacked some desks and cupboards. Crime Scene Personnel visited the scene, Inquiries will continue
Search Warrant Executed: Police executed search warrants on premises in New Road, and St. Peters (Monkey Hill) for controlled drugs, arms, ammunition, stolen goods and documents that may have been used in a crime. A number of items were taken into custody for evidence purposes.
Search Warrant Executed: S.S.U and personnel of Crime Scene returned from duty and reported a search warrant was executed on a premises in Upper Monkey Hill. Evidence was collected to satisfy the search.
Search Warrant Executed: S.S. U reported that a search warrant was executed on a premises in New Road. Two persons were arrested on suspicion of House Breaking and Larceny. A number of items were also taken into police custody for investigation.
Marijuana Plants Uprooted: A combined patrol returned from duty and reported they uprooted and seized one hundred and seventy (170) marijuana plants ranging from one (1) foot to six(6) feet in height. A juvenile was taken into custody with regards to the find.
Marijuana Plants Uprooted: A combined patrol returned from duty and reported they uprooted and seized seven hundred and thirty plants (730) ranging from one foot to 7 feet in height,.
Traffic Accident: There were eleven (1) traffic accidents on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts during the period of the report.
