REPORT OF ARREST, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES
Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 8, 2016 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of and Arrest, Convictions and other Activities from the records of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force. For period Friday 06 – Saturday 07 May.
ARREST AND OR BAIL:
Arrested: Gavin Richardson of Earl Mourne was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on two warrants in the first offence for offence of Larceny of one motor cycle and for the receiving of motor cycle parts.
Arrested: Daryl Tuckett of Harbour View was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on two warrants in the first offence for the offence of Larceny of one motorcycle and for the receiving of motorcycle parts.
Bailed: Keshawn Ritchen of Sandown Road who was charged for the offence of Possession of Ammunition on a Warrant in the First Instance was granted bail in the sum of $20,000 and ordered to at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 6th June, 2016 at 9 o’clock in the forenoon. Bail was also granted with the following condition: Subject, must report to the Basseterre Police Station every Friday between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm.
COURT CONVICTIONS:
In matters at the Charlestown Magistrates Court presided over by Her Honour Miss Yasmine Clarke the following convictions were reported.
– Rolston David of Cades Bay was found guilty of the offence of Larceny by clerk and convicted and fined $3000.00 to be paid in six (6) months or if in default serve twelve (12) months in prison.
– Joel Barry of Craddock Road was convicted for the offence of Driving without due care and attention and fined $800.00 dollars in one (1) month or if in default serve one (1) month in prison.
– Adelvin Phillip of Pond Hill was convicted of the offence of Driving without due care and attention and fined $500.00 dollars in two (2) months or if in default serve one (1) month in prison.
OTHER ACTIVITY:
– A combined patrol of Police and SKNDF reported that it discovered, uprooted and seized one hundred and one (101) marijuana plants ranging from seedling to four feet in height from a grassy area of land in the Godwin Ghaut area. The discovery occurred around 6.00am on May 6, 2016.
– Police continues to conduct vehicular check point, stop and searches and searches of abandoned house and lots. This activity in an ongoing effort to remove illegal firearms, drugs and instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS: The Police Sports Club held its monthly Health Walk on Saturday May 7. Over 125 persons participated with a significant number being members of the community.
