Gingerland –Nevis-The Parents/Teachers Associations at the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School and the Gingerland Pre School, paid surprise visits to the teachers at the two schools on Friday 5th October.
They did not come empty handed either. As a matter of fact, they came bearing gifts. After all, it was World Teachers’ Day and they wanted to make sure that the Teachers had an enjoyable day.
A fruit basket was presented to the Teachers at the JLPS and each teacher received a sealed envelope (contents unknown), but one which certainly made their smiles grow wider.
At the Gingerland Preschool, the teachers received a cheese cake and some cupcakes, along with a beautiful cup each, with their names inscribed.
At the JLPS, Mrs. Andie Wallace led out in presenting to the Teachers and Headmistress Miss Barbara Hendrickson extended thanks on behalf of the staff, while at the Gingerland Pre School, Miss Meltriska Chapman led out with the presentations and Supervisor at the school, Mrs. Pamella Elliot, extended gratitude on behalf of her staff.
