Professional swim coach, Ms. Anne Mclindon, who has referred to Nevis, as her ‘second home,’ is back on island, conducting a series of training programs.
Her sessions commenced on Friday 18th February, with instructions to new swim coaches and a few more seasoned campaigners.
They also had a beach session that same day.
On Wednesday and Thursday of this week, she will be conducting sessions with students of the St. Thomas Primary School and the Cecely Browne Integrated School, as swimming has now been added to the curriculum of those schools.
She will also be conducting parents/children classes, private sessions with individuals and pool sessions at Oualie Beach, where the more established swimmers will engage in swim techniques more geared to competitive swimming.
She noted that her twelve days on Nevis will be extremely busy, but anticipates that they will be a lot of fun with the locals.
