Following a horrendous title defence in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) regional Super50, Jamaica Scorpions captain Rovman Powell says it is hard to pinpoint the main reason for the team’s poor showing in the competition.
The Scorpions lost six of their seven completed matches with the other game abandoned due to rain and they were on course for another defeat with the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force set 192 runs to win.
However, with nine of the players returning from the 2022 edition, it came as a shocker to the captain but was still short on where things went wrong.
Meanwhile, there is a call for the players to upskill their game based on the requirements to play spin bowling, but Powell who is the West Indies T20 captain, says it more than just a local problem.
