On August 12, 2024, autopsies were conducted at JNF Hospital Mortuary on the bodies of 30-year-old Devon Parris and 9-year-old J’ Marni Smithen, both from Craddock Road, Nevis. The autopsies were carried out by resident pathologists Dr. Adrian Nunez and Dr. Naudica Philip.
Dr. Philip and Dr. Nunez concluded that both individuals died from severe cranioencephalic trauma caused by gunshot wounds to the head.
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force once again expresses its sympathies to the families affected by this tragic incident and assures the public that the investigation is still ongoing.
