The police are investigating the sudden death of Chavilal Basdeo, age thirty-six, from Clay Ghaut, Nevis.
The incident occurred on March 26, 2025, between 12 PM and 1 PM. Responding to reports, police officers discovered Mr. Basdeo lying motionless on the side of the main road at Pond Hill.
Despite attempts by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr. Basdeo showed no visible signs of injury or trauma. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of his untimely death.
