A suspected drowning incident in St. Kitts is currently under investigation. The incident occurred at Timothy Beach Pier in Frigate Bay and resulted in the death of Mrs Jill Low from England, United Kingdom. It occurred between 2 PM and 3 PM on November 23, 2024.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Mrs Low was unresponsive in the water while snorkelling with her husband at Shitten Bay. They were transported to Frigate Bay by the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force Coast Guard vessel, and emergency services were called. Attempts to revive her were unfortunately unsuccessful, and she was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the precise cause of Mrs. Low’s untimely passing. The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force extends sincere condolences to all those who have been affected by this tragic event.
