Basseterre, St. Kitts, December, 13, 2015 (RSCNPF): The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is currently investigating the suspicious death of Jeshawn Mayers, a male in his mid 20’s of Newtown.
The incident occurred around 11am today (Sunday, December 13) in Taylor’s Range.
Mr. Mayers was approached in the street by an unknown assailant(s) who shot him several times and he sadly died at the scene.
The Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the incident and the scene has been examined by the Forensics Services Unit.
In seeking the public’s assistance in relation to this incident, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ian Queeley said, “we urge anyone who may have been in the Taylor’s range area between 10:00am and 11:15am today, to come forward and share anything they may have seen or heard. I also appeal to any member of the community to share any information they may have about potential criminal activities in the area. Something you may have seen or heard, may provide information that can assist the police in this crime and others.”
