The Maude Smith Pre School, as was the case last year, was the first school out of the blocks, in terms of hosting its annual sports day for 2019.
The meet was held at the Bath Village Playing field on Friday 1st February.
The patrons for the day were Earl and Kareema David, long serving parents at the school.
Their profile was eloquently read by Mrs. Abigail Douglas.
The two houses, Green and Orange, then engaged in an impressive march past.
Then the real action got started, as the athletes hit the track, to give real entertainment to the sizeable crowd.
They participated in such races as: Fill the bottle; flat races; thread the roll; fill the bucket; tyre races; dress up races and much more.
The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, even if they ran out of lanes or did not quite fill their bottles, while the excited parents and other family members cheered.
At the end of the day, Orange house emerged as the champion house.
Point standings:
Orange -480 points
Green -418 points
