NRP Leader strongly condemns attack on St. Vincent Prime Minister

PRESS RELEASE (August 06, 2021) — Political Leader of the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP), Dr. Janice Daniel-Hodge, strongly condemns the violent attack on the Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, that occurred during a protest in that country on Thursday, August 05, 2021.

Dr. Daniel-Hodge, in a Facebook post early Friday morning (August 06), condemned the attack and called on fellow Caribbean and political leaders to “condemn such actions and pray for the speedy recovery of Prime Minister Gonsalves.”

“I understand that people are being victimized, people are frustrated, livelihoods are being threatened but violence is not the solution,” the NRP leader said. “We must condemn it wherever and whenever it occurs. Let love and peace prevail,” Dr. Daniel-Hodge continued.

The leadership and executive of the Nevis Reformation Party firmly condemn any sort of violence introduced into the political environment in the Caribbean Community and worldwide.
