Kymarni Newton, an athlete from the Over-the-Top Track Club, has secured a place among the qualifiers for the Carifta Games.
He achieved a remarkable time of 2:06:46 in the 800m event during the Charlestown Secondary School Sports Day, which took place at the Nevis Athletics Stadium on Wednesday.
Mr. Newton is a third-form student at Charlestown Secondary School.
