Lavern Ryan, from LRR Geospatial Consultancy, recently visited St. Kitts and Nevis to meet with stakeholders.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the development of an internationally recognised program for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UASs) operators.
The goal of the program is to train highly skilled facilitators and operators who will have regional certification, permissions, knowledge, and versatility to respond to emergencies and support the Regional Response Mechanism (RRM) by effectively using UASs in all phases of Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM) operations. Currently, she is collaborating with the CDEMA – Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency.
