(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- The Naomi’s Nursery and Pre-school held its 15th annual Graduation ceremony on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the New Testament Church of God in Jessups Village.
Standing by the school’s motto, ‘Molding Little Lives for the Future’, twenty-five shining stars, 12 from the Pre-school and 13 from the Daycare made their way down the aisle of the church.
This was witnessed by an audience full of well-wishers, parents, family members and friends of the students.
Pastor Simeon Prentice chaired the event. During his opening remarks, Prentice highlighted the hard work and dedication of the teachers. He congratulated all the children and he encouraged them to do well and to respect and obey their new teachers.
Supervisor’s Report was delivered by Ms. Maricia Grant. Ms. Grant spoke about the achievements of the toddlers for the year at the Nursery while Mrs. Naomi Douglas presented the report on the Pre-school accomplishments.
The ceremony saw lots of excitement through songs and poems by the graduating class. The distribution of gifts and certificates and the lighting of candles generated much excitement.
Two parents spoke on behalf of the Daycare and Pre-school students. Both highlighted the facilities of the school and recognized the teachers for their hard work, dedication and passion for teaching. Both parents boastfully stated that Naomi Daycare and Pre-school are the best Pre-school and Nursery on the island of Nevis. In closing they both wished all the graduates well.
