The Ministry of Agriculture cordially invites the general public to join in a special service of worship in celebration of World Food Day, at the House of Deliverance New Testament Church of God in Tabernacle on Sunday, October 13th, 2024.
This year’s observance, a flagship event of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), will be held under the global theme: “Right to Foods for a Better Life and a Better Future.”
World Food Day, observed annually on October 16th, is dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of food security and sustainable agricultural practices, emphasizing the need for every person to have access to sufficient, nutritious, and safe food. As a key partner in the agricultural sector, the Ministry is pleased to engage with its stakeholders and the community in this spirit of reflection, gratitude, and renewal of commitment towards ensuring food security for the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
The worship service promises to be a meaningful occasion filled with prayer, music, and a message of hope and responsibility toward achieving the 25 by 25 Agenda target and creating a sustainable future.
Transportation will be provided via G196 at the East Bus Terminal and G557 at the West Bus Terminal. Both buses are scheduled to depart from Basseterre at 9:30 a.m.
