(CHARLESTOWN NEVIS)-The Nevis Cultural Complex was the venue for the Junior Calypso Competition on Sunday, July 24, 2016.
At the end of the night, the Mighty Sookie received the approval of the five- member judge panel that he had outperformed his 5 other competitors gaining 246 points with his song ‘Stop the Violence’. The victory for the reigning King gave him four crowns in succession.
The first runner up position went to Mighty Invincible with a total of 235 points. He performed a song entitled, ‘As the World Turns’ and captivated the audience with his lyrics. In third position was Prince Akedo with a total of 228 points. He did a tune called, ‘Bun Dung d Gun Factory’.
