List Of Countries Approved for Imported Meat Products to St. Kitts

The public is advised to take note of the list countries and specific meat and whether importation of meats from the listed counties are approved or denied.

Persons are to be reminded that quantities exceeding 50lbs require an import permit and this is issued at the Department of Agriculture. Quantities less than 50lbs do not require an import permit but should be in the original packaging. This allows the origin of the meat to be determined. Meat that is repackaged will not be allowed into the Federation. It will be confiscated and destroyed.

For countries not listed on the document, inquiries should be made at the Department of Agriculture before travelling or shipping it.

Importation from Brazil is approved from select Poultry Processing plants and this must be stated on the product or in the documentation when applying for the import permit.
