Even after the completion of the Primary Schools’ Football Tournament, the sporting public on Nevis can look forward to more excitement from the primary school athletes.
On Friday, November 29th, the Ivor Walters Primary School will host an event called the “Tesril Nisbett Football Fest” at the ET Willet Park. This one-day tournament is being held in honour of the late female football star and athlete Tesril Nisbett.
In addition to the Ivor Walters team, four other schools have been specifically invited to participate in what is expected to be an annual tournament. The invited schools are Nevis Academy, EPPS, CPS, and JLPS. Players and coaches from these schools were present at the press conference, where they received outfits from Eustace “SMARTY” Nisbett, the tournament’s sponsor.
The action will kick off at 2:30 PM, with the competing teams playing a series of elimination matches leading up to the semifinals and the grand final. Each match will last for 20 minutes, divided into two 10-minute halves.
Admission fees are set at $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children.
During the press conference, speakers included Ms Serena Browne, the headmistress of Ivor Walters Primary School, Eustace “SMARTY” Nisbett, the representative of the sponsors, and Aljay Newton, the Deputy Director of Sports.
The general public is invited to attend and witness this exciting event.
