(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- According to the Press and Public Relations Officer of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Inspector, Lyndon David officers of the Violent Crime Unit (VCU) are currently investigating the shooting death of 29 year old Kishmoy Challenger of Pond Hill, Nevis
The press release issued stated that initial investigation revealed that the deceased was at his work place on May 14, 2013, when he was shot several times at the upper portion of his body.
He was taken to the Alexandra Hospital where he underwent surgery. He succumbed to his injuries at about 5:00 p.m. on that same day.
Officers are asking anyone who may have information concerning this incident is asked to contact the Violent Crime Unit at 465-2241 Ext. 230 or CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-8477 (TIPS). You are reminded that the information will be treated with the strictest of confidence.
Additionally, during the evening on Friday, May 10, 2013, the hunt for a wanted man Raymond Pemberton came to an end when a joint task force of members of The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, and the St. Kitts and Nevis Defense Force apprehended the fugitive at New Road.
Raymond Pemberton was taken into police custody and later formally charged for the offence of Attempted Murder and was remanded at Her Majesty’s Prison, St. Kitts.
