Inon Nias, a 33-year-old resident of Greenlands, St. Kitts, has been charged with two additional offences. He has been charged with the Murder of 31-year-old Shacquille Chumney of East Street, Newtown, St. Kitts. This criminal act took place on April 15th, 2024, at the Newtown Fisheries Complex.
Mr Nias also faces a charge of Possession of Ammunition, which occurred on April 20th, 2024, in Greenlands. Both charges were brought against Mr. Nias on June 7th, 2024, at the Basseterre Police Station.
These new charges supplement Mr Nias’ initial charge for the crime of possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply, which also took place on April 20th, 2024. Notably, he is the second individual to be accused in connection with the aforementioned murder, following Alexander Samuel of Conaree, St. Kitts, who was charged on May 31st, 2024.
