The action continued in the local Football league, on the evening of Thursday 18th January, at the ET Willett Park.
On this night, Hard Times engaged arch rivals Bath United, in what was expected to be a keen contest.
Very early in the exchanges, Bath United struck the back of the net and this was followed by the Hard Times team, making a mess of a few opportunities, with the speedy Shawn Hanley, guilty of not finishing, on at least two occasions.
However, a beautiful run through on the right flank, saw Hard Times hitting home the equalizer.
Minutes to go to half time, a real peach of a goal was scored by one of the Hard Times strikers, from down town.
Make that 2 goals to 1 at half time, in favour of Hard Times.
The second half was equally intensely contested and both teams came out totally rejuvenated.
However, it was the Hard Times team which held the sway in the end, putting in four more goals.
Final score 6 goals to 1, in favour of Hard Times.
