Green edges our gold in close contest at IWPS
The Ivor Walters Primary School held its annual sports meet on Friday 8th March, under the patronage of former champion athlete at the school, Marvin Hanley.
The meet was held at the new recreation ground in Brown Hill and attracted a sizeable gathering, representing sports lovers from all across the island.
Gold House and Green house were in a tight contest all afternoon, with the lead changing hands intermittently. The athletes matched skills in the 100; 200; 400; 800 and 1200 meters, along with the 4X 100 and 4X 400 meters .There were also the inclusion of the exciting hurdles events and the fun races.
However, at the completion of the final race for the day, it was the Green house posse who were celebrating.

Green house—424 points—Champions
Gold house—407 points
Red house 245 points
