The St. Thomas’ Primary School secured a coveted finals spot in the ongoing Primary Schools football championship on the evening of Wednesday 15th November.
The STPS team faced off with the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School in the first of two semifinal matches, in front of a huge and vociferous crowd.
Both teams demonstrated real skill and both teams generated chances and missed a few opportunities to convert.
At the end of regulation time, both teams were locked at nil-all.
It meant that the winner had to be decided on penalty kicks.
The St. Thomas’ team excited their fans further by hitting the back of the net three times, while the JLPS team could only net once.
