It is indeed official.
Not only will the much-anticipated semifinals for the ongoing Primary Schools Football competition take place tomorrow Wednesday 9th November, but now the four schools know which school they will be coming up against.
The grand draw was made at the Sports Department on Monday afternoon, with all four teams, well represented by their respective coaches.
The proceedings were chaired by Sports Officer, Kimbel Ward, ably assisted by the Education Department’s representative, Miss Nichola Fraser.
When the draw was made the matches scheduled for Wednesday, at the ET Willet Park, are as follows:
Charlestown Primary versus Joycelyn Liburd Primary at 5.30 pm
St. Thomas’ Primary versus St. James’ Primary at 6.30 pm
The grand finals will be played on Saturday 12th November
6 pm -Third place match up between the two losing teams in the semis
7 pm-The grand finals between the two winning teams in the semis.
According to Ms. Fraser, both match days are free of cost to the general public.
The coaches of the four teams also had their say, congratulating the other schools for making the competition such a keenly contested one and stopping short of making any full-fledged predictions as to who will take the grand trophy up for grabs.
