Action in the Primary Schools’ Football competition, continued at the ET Willet Park on Wednesday 1st November.
Despite some fairly intense and consistent showers of rain, the three matches proceeded as scheduled.
In game one, the St. Thomas’ Primary School engaged the Ivor Walters Primary, in their first outing of the competition.
Early in the first half, an accidental handball in the penalty area, by one of the St. Thomas’ defenders, resulted in a penalty kick, which was effectively put into the back of the net.
The half-time score was 1 goal to nil in favour of Ivor Walters Primary.
The St. Thomas’ team came out with much energy in the second half and eventually equalized, much to the joy of their supporters.

In game two, the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School engaged the Nevis Academy.
The Nevis Academy exhibited some skill and determination, but on the day, the JLPS team was a force to be reckoned with and they struck the back of the net three times before the final whistle was blown.
Final score: 3 goals to nil, in favour of JLPS.
