The Eddy Caines –Richards Football clinic is off to a great start.
On Thursday, July 17, 2014, Richards indicated that when the clinic started on Monday, July 14, there were 43 children present but the number has increased on a daily basis.
On Thursday, there were actually 63 children learning the basic skills of the game.
The children were divided into three groups based on their age and coaches from the Sports Department who were on hand assisting Richards with the teaching of the basic skills. These included Kel Williams; Kerisha Powell, who are both representatives of the St.Kitts-Nevis national female Football team; Aljay Newton and Leroy ‘Jun-Jun’ Sweeney.
Richards was also grateful to the sponsors for once again being so supportive in this the tenth year of his conducting the program and also thanked his wife Janice and others who form the kitchen staff which provides daily snacks for the children.
