On Monday, August 12th, Ian Robinson of the Aston Villa Foundation presented several jerseys to young players in the Bath United Football Club.
He mentioned that his father, Norman Federick Watts, was from Government Road in Nevis, and his mother, Sylvia Bassue, was from St. Kitts.
Because of his family roots in the area, he wanted to give back while visiting the island. A brief ceremony, chaired by Ms Nichola Fraser of the Education Department, was held.
The Director of Sports, Jamir Claxton, and long-serving Bath United Coach, Alex Claxton, expressed words of appreciation. Then, the young footballers received the jerseys.
