BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, OCTOBER 31ST 2013 (CUOPM) – A local fast food outlet, a fitness centre and a bottling company are among corporate entities that have agreed to collaborate in promoting healthy lifestyle choices and financing breast cancer treatment.
Minister of Health, the Hon. Marcella Liburd said Thursday that Subway and Life Fitness Centre will work with the Reach for Recovery Support group to promote healthy lifestyle choices.
In a radio and television address to mark Breast Health Day, the Minister Liburd also disclosed that the St. Kitts Bottling Company launched a major fund-raising initiative partnering with two of breast cancer support groups, Reach for Recovery and Essence of Hope.
“Through its premium product Aqua Vita water, the St. Kitts Bottling Company will set aside a percentage from the sale of Aqua Vita water which will be donated to both support groups to enhance their programmes and to help pay for treatment of those diagnosed,” she said.
