CJ Bartlette of the Drag Racing Unit on Nevis, indicated on Monday that plans are being finalized for the next big Drag Racing event on the island.
The date for what is normally referred to as the FACE OFF race is now set for Sunday 1st of December with the usual test and tune set for the day before, Saturday 30th November.
Bartlette further indicated that some of the vehicles from St.Croix are still on the ground here on the island and will be ready for the grand event. From all indications Racers from Anguilla and St.Maarten are also expected for the event, along with the usual top guns from St.Kitts and Nevis.
Bartlette took time out to thank all of the stakeholders who have made Drag racing on the island the huge success story that it has become and was especially pleased with the turn out at the last major event held at the St.James’ Race Way.
He is also asking the general public to make the Nevis Drag Racing Unit’s face book page, one of their favourites and to visit it regularly for updates. He stated that the website is currently undergoing some reconstruction work and asked the race fans to be patient.
For now, he is asking the race fans to pencil the dates on their calendars and ensure that they do not miss the event.
