The 19th annual Eddy Caines-Richards Football program began on Monday, July 15th at the Nevis Athletic Stadium with an opening ceremony. Mr. Caines chaired the event and noted that this year, the program is being run in collaboration with the Sports Department for the first time.
He also expressed gratitude to previous and current sponsors for their vital contributions to the program’s success. Additional remarks were made by Ms Keesha Jones of the National Bank of St. Kitts-Nevis and Anguilla, Mr G. Sydney Newton of the Nevis Cooperative Credit Union, Ms Nakita Thibou of NEVLEC, and Mrs Karen Amory of Social Security.
They took the opportunity to promote their businesses and commend Mr. Caines for his ongoing efforts in children’s development. The program will last for two weeks, during which the children will be educated in the fundamental skills of football.
